Mila Vase - Black

A$280.00
sold out

This hand built sculptural and functional vase is created using a coiling technique. A mixture of clays blended by hand creates a rich deep black/brown finish to the piece, with burnt trachyte dust giving a speckled and raised surface to the body of the vessel. Inside, the piece is glazed clear making it watertight and perfect for a simple floral arrangement, or as a stand alone ceramic artwork in any space. This simple abstract piece took shape with a nod to artist and sculptor Jean Arp, one of the founders of Dadaism. The soft oval shape and angular points often mean this work is said to look akin to an anatomical heart.

13cm x 8cm x 19cm

Each piece has been handcrafted with care and intention. They may differ slightly due to their unique, handmade nature. Variations may include but are not limited to colour, texture, and size.

We pay our respects to the Gadigal people, the traditional owners of the land on which we currently live and create. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
